Zeera Rice – A Unique Taste And Delicious Zeera Rice Recipe
Zeera rice recipe is very tasty and spicy. This is a traditional south indian style recipe. It can be easily prepared at home. It is very healthy and clean of our digestive part.
Ingredients
Zeera Rice
- 1.50 cup Zeeraga Samba Rice
- 1.50 tbsp Cumin Seeds
- 3.00 nos Cloves
- 2.00 nos Cinnamon Sticks
- 1.00 nos Cardamom
- 1.00 nos Bay Leaf
- 3.00 tbsp Ghee Or Oil
- 0.75 tbsp Salt
- 0.50 tbsp Coriander Leaves
- 2.00 cup Water
Instructions
Zeera Rice
- Rinse and soak the zeeraga samba rice for fifteen minutes, When you use Basmati rice it is soak for ten minutes.
- After fifteen minutes wash them again and drained out all the water completely using strainer or Filter, Which helps the rice easily roasted.
- Now heat a cooking pan add enough oil or ghee with them and add the spices such as one bay leaf, one cardamom.three cloves and two cinnamon sticks with them and roast them in very low flame.
- Then add one and half tbsp of cumin seeds with them and roast them well for few minutes till it gets golden brown.
- When it sautes well now add the well rinsed and drained rice with them and roast them as dry roast where the flavors are well absorbed by them.
- Fry them for three to four minutes in medium flame which helps the rice remains non-sticky and long grains.
- Then add water into them, when the water is to be 1:2 ratio, for one cup rice you should add two cups of water for them.
- Then add enough salt for them and stir well till it dissolves, and bring them to boil in medium flame.
- After few minutes i have closed the lid and gave some cooking time for them, without disturbing them.
- After some time open the lid, now the rice is well boiled and the rice remains non sticky.
- Again give few seconds for them to dried up all the water into them and stir carefully using a fork or ladle.
- Finally add some chopped coriander leaves over them and serve hot with spicy rajma dal or with spicy Channa Curry.
