Ash gourd halwa is an easy to make sweet recipe with very little ingredients available daily in our kitchen. Once made they will be very much liked by the kids who do not like ash gourd to eat at home.

Rinse and peel the ash gourd. Remove the seeds and the white pith inside. Grate it to 1 cup and keep aside.

Take a pan and empty the grated ash gourd into it. Cover it with a lid and put the flame to medium so that the ash gourd gets cooked up well. No need to add water because ash gourd itself contains enough water. After it is cooked keep it aside.
