Wheat Roti – Healthy And Tasty Wheat Roti Recipe For Breakfast
wheat roti is very tasty and spicy dish. This is a famous south Indian style dish and it is very easy to make at home made. This is very good breakfast and its served with chutney.
Ingredients
For Roti Preparation
- 1.00 cup Wheat flour
- 2.00 tbsp rice flour
- 1.00 tbsp salt
- 1.00 tbsp oil
- 0.25 cup water
For Masala Preparation
- 1.00 cup Dry coconut
- 1.00 nos onion
- 0.50 tbsp salt
- 1.00 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 0.50 tbsp turmeric powder
- 0.50 tbsp chilli powder
- 0.50 tbsp coriander powder
- 1.00 tbsp Oil
Instructions
For Roti Preparation
- Put one cup wheat flour and two tbsp of rice flour in a bowl. Add salt and one tsp hot oil.
- Pour enough water to make it into a soft dough. Knead for atleast 5 mins for softer dough. Apply oil on the surface and keep it close for 10 mins.
- Take a lemon size dough and flatten it with hand. Apply oil on the surface and add one tbsp of stuffing on it.
- Close the stuffing with dough on the sides and add one spoon oil and roll the dough carefully like a roti.
- Roast the yedimai on the tava in medium flame on both sides in less than a minute. Use oil for toasting like rotis.
- After the dish is cooked transfer it to plate. Apply ghee on the top and serve it plain or with raitha.
For Masala Preparation
- First take one cup chopped dry coconut, one big size onion, salt, ginger garlic paste, turmeric, chilli and coriander powder. Do not add water.
- Grind the above ingredients in the whipper mode in mixy. Do not use water. Let the stuffing be dry for filling.
- In a kadai add one spoon oil. After the oil is heated add the mixture and fry it until the raw smell goes off.
