This is a curry with chana dal and curd as the core ingredient, this is a curry that we can take along with Any type of rice and also as a side dish with any breakfast items. We Can give this to guests also.

Ingredients of Vella kadala curry

2.00 cup vella kadala
1.00 cup curd
1.00 cup onion
1.00 tbsp ginger
1.00 tbsp garlic
2.00 tbsp green chilly
1.00 milligram cardamom
1.00 milligram clove
1.00 milligram pepper
1.00 milligram cinnamon
2.00 tbsp chicken stalk
1.00 cup tomato
0.25 tbsp turmeric powder
0.25 tbsp coriander powder
0.25 tbsp garam masala
2.00 tbsp ghee
1.00 gram pudina leaves
1.00 gram coriander leaves
0.25 tbsp chilly powder

Vella kadala curry

At the first step wash the Vella kadala or chana daal well with water and then soak this overnight or for about 6 hours.

Then slice the onion ,ginger , garlic,tomato and green chilly in to small pieces then keep it aside, then heat the pressure cooker.

When it hot add some ghee or butter to it when it melts add onion, ginger, garlic, greenchilly, tomato and some pudina leaves to it.

Stir well and let it brawn and translucent, when it's done add three pieces of chicken stalk to it, this is optional you can avoid if you are a vegetarian.

Mix it well and then add the ground spices like cardamom,clove , pepper, cinnamon and then pour turmeric powder,chilly powder and coriander powder.

Then close the pressure cooker and wait for four to five visils or until it gets cooked well, when it's done open the cooker.
