STEP : 1
The key ingredients to prepare Red amaranth patties ,we need amaranth leaves,red lentils, potatoes,onions ,coriander leaves,bread crumbs,corn flour,red chilli powder,mustard seeds,ketchup,coriander powder,black pepper powder,turmeric powder,egg,garam masala,Salt and oil for shallow fry.

STEP : 2
Initially turn on the flame then add two nos of washed potatoes in a pressure cooker.

STEP : 3
Add two to three cups of water along with the washed potatoes with little bit salt.

Close the pressure cooker lid and leave it for two to three whistles in a medium flame.

After 2 to 3 whistles ,when the pressure calms down ,open the lid and drain the water completely.and peel the skin.

Mash the boiled potatoes completely by using hands or by using potato masher for it.

Take a cup of plugged amaranth leaves or siru keerai or thandu keerai in a bowl.

Add required amount of water in it and rinse it once to remove the soil.

Take a cup of red lentils or masoor dal or masoori paruppu in a bowl.

Add required amount of water in it and wash it once to remove the impurities.

Again Turn on the flame , add the completely rinsed amaranth leaves in a pressure cooker

Add the washed red lentils or masoor dal or masoori paruppu along with the amaranth leaves .

Then add a cups of water or little bit not too much along with the green leaves and red lentils

Add little bit of salt or as per your taste along with ingredients ,mix it well .

After 2 to 3 whistles ,when the pressure calms down ,open the cooker lid slowly.

For making blended and smooth paste ,add a cup of garlic cloves in a jar.

Add half inch pieces of ginger along with the cloves and blend it into a paste.

After blending it into a semi coarse paste ,transfer the ginger garlic paste in a bowl.

For seasoning ,turn on the flame,add two tablespoon of oil and let it heat completely.

Add a tablespoon of black or red mustard seeds and let it splatter for few seconds.

Add a cup of onions and saute it for few seconds till it turns golden brown.

Add the mashed potatoes along with the semi boiling ingredients and mix it ,let it cook.

Add a tablespoon of ginger garlic paste and saute it well ,let the raw smell goes away.

Add the boiled dal and leaves along with the boiling ingredients and mix it ,let it cook.

Add two nos of chopped green chillies along with ingredients for more spices in a vessel..

When it boils,add a pinch of turmeric powder then saute the ingredients for few seconds.

Add half cup of finely chopped coriander leaves or cilantro along with the potato mixture.

Add half tablespoon of cumin seeds or jeera powder along with the boiling sabzi and let it boil.

Add a tablespoon of garam masala powder along with the potato mixture for more spices .

Add a tablespoon of coriander powder or dhania powder along with the potato mixture and mix it.

Add a cup of prepared bread crumbs along with the potato mixture and mix it completely.

Add little bit of salt or as per your taste ,mix it well and let it cook for few minutes.

Add a tablespoon of tomato ketchup along with the potato mixture for more taste .

For deep coating the potato mixture,break a single or whole egg in a seperate bowl.

Beat the egg mixture with fork spoon with out any lumps and keep it aside.

Grease your palm with little bit oil ,take a mixture and make a lemon size mixture and flat it

Take a single flat mixture ,dip the roll into the beaten egg and coat it evenly on all sides.

Take a dipped roll by using spoon and coat it with corn flour on all sides.

Do the remaining roll in a same way and keep it in a seperate plate now its time to shallow fry.

Turn on the flame ,place a griddle ,add required oil for shallow fry and let it heat for few minutes.

When the oil heats ,drop a single patties into hot oil and let it fry few seconds.
