This is a very popular winter snack item or more popularly a street food recipe from Bengal. It is the normal conical samosa but the stuffing is made using the winter fresh cauliflower cooked in methi seeds along with potato cubes and fresh green peas. It is crunchy and served with sauce.

Ingredients
  

Flour Preparation

  • 1.00 cup Maida
  • 0.25 tbsp Salt

Masala Preparation

  • 0.25 nos Cauliflower
  • 1.00 nos Potato
  • 0.25 cup GreenPeas
  • 2.00 nos RedChili
  • 0.25 tbsp Salt
  • 0.25 tbsp Sugar
  • 0.25 tbsp GingerPowder
  • 10.00 tbsp Oil
  • 0.25 tbsp Turmeric
  • 0.25 tbsp PanchPhoron

Instructions
 

Masala Preparation

  • Take a potato, peel and wash it and cut it into small cubes, cut the cauliflower florets into small pieces, take the green peas too.
  • Heat oil in a kadai and add the panch phoron (blend of 5 spices) along with the red chili crushed and then add the vegetables. Fry it for a minute or two.
  • Add salt, sugar, turmeric powder and ginger powder and mix it well and cook till the vegetable is boiled and become tender
  • Set aside the cooked filling in a bowl and then let it cool so that it can be easily put as a filling

Samosa Preparation

  • Make a dough of the maida and then form the circular shaped puris and then cut them across the diameter as shown

  • Make a cone from the half circle as shown below in the image and pour the filling as shown in the cone.

  • Repeat the same step for all the samosa batters and seal the base of the cone as shown in the image

  • Heat adequate amount of oil in the kadai and deep fry the samosa on all sides till they turn golden brown and are ready to be served with sauce
