Vegetable puttu is a soft and yummy puttu. It is very tasty and spicy. This is a one of the traditional breakfast recipe. It can be made easily and it is very healthy recipe.
Ingredients
For Rice Flour Puttu Preparation
- 2.00 cup Rice flour
- 1.00 cup Water
- 1.00 tbsp Salt
- 1.00 cup Coconut
For vegetable Masala Preparation
- 2.00 tbsp Oil
- 1.00 cup Cabbage
- 1.00 tbsp Mustard
- 1.00 cup Onion
- 0.25 cup Green chilly
- 0.25 kg Beans
- 1.00 tbsp Salt
- 1.00 cup Coconut
- 2.00 tbsp Curry leaves
Instructions
For Vegetable Masala Preparation
- Now we can make beans thoran for that heat a pan pour oil to it and when it’s hot add mustard and when it splutters add the chopped onion , green chilly ,beans and salt.
- Then stir well and close the pan for some time keep in low flame and when it’s almost cooked add little coconut.
- Then stir it well and close the Pan and wait until it gets cooked well. When it is cooked off the flame.
- Make cabbage thoran also as same as beans thoran and keep it aside or transfer to a plate, then heat puttu kudam with water.
For Rice Puttu Preparation
- Heat a Kadai and pour 1 cup water and salt, when it boils pour the Rice flour little by little and stir well.
- Then grind it well and pour this to another bowl and repeat the same with the remaining Rice flour and we get a very smooth and soft puttu podi.
- Mean while take the puttu kana and pour little coconut first then pour little rice flour then pour beans thoran or cabbage thoran and then add rice flour.
- Repeat the same and at last pour some Coconut at above and then keep this kana on the kudam and when the steam comes out take out our vegetable steam cake. serve hot.
