Ingredients
  

Thengai Sadam

  • 1.00 cup Boiled Rice
  • 0.75 cup Freshly Grated Coconut
  • 1.00 nos Green Chilly
  • 1.00 nos Dried Red Chilly
  • 1.00 tbsp Urad Dal
  • 1.00 tbsp Bengal Gram
  • 0.75 tbsp Ginger Slices
  • 5.00 nos Cashew Nuts
  • 5.00 nos Curry Leaves
  • 3.00 nos Coriander Leaves
  • 0.75 tbsp Salt
  • 0.25 tbsp Mustard Seeds
  • 2.00 tbsp Ghee Or Oil

Instructions
 

Thengai Sadam

  • Grate some fresh coconut, chop some green chilies and gingers into fine slices, and bring other ingredients such as cashew nuts, Bengal gram and split black gram.

  • Take one cup of boiled rice, if it is hot brings them to cool, you can also add steamed or pressure cooked rice for this recipe.

  • Heat a pan add two tbsp of ghee or oil, then splutter some mustard seeds and add Split black gram and Bengal Gram and dried chilly with them.

  • Then add some curry leaves, and chopped green chilies, chopped ginger slices and and some cashew nuts with them and roast for few seconds.

  • When the added ingredients are well roasted then add grated coconut and boiled rice at a time and stir well.

  • When the rice and grated coconuts are mixes well together and now add enough salt for them and again stir well.

  • When the salt is mixed well to all the rice and ingredients and now garnish some coriander leaves and serve hot with tasty side dish.
