Ingredients of Sundakkai curry
STEP : 1
In a cook pot add some water and add turkey berry, here i used to sliced and not want to remove seeds of the berry, and keep boil in medium flame.

In a pressure cooker add the washed toor dhal and add 1/4 tbsp of turmeric powder and keep boiling for two to three whistles.

For Grinding: In a mixer jar add 3 tbsp of grated coconut and grind it as a fine paste by adding water if needed.

when the toor dhal get cooked remove from fire and the pressure fully goes out add into the boiling turkey berry.

And now add two tbsp of thick tamarind extract into it,mix well and keep boiling for five minutes,keep stir to avoid bottom burns.

After five minutes now add 1 tbsp of kulambu chilly powder, mix well and so that no lumps are not formed for continuous stirring.

And now add the fine grounded coconut paste in to it and mix well for few minutes,add some water if it is needed.

At this stage add one table spoon of sugar which enhances the taste of this recipe, mix well and keep boiling for few minutes.

In a frying pan add 2 tbsp of oil,add some mustard seeds and and add one red chilly and 1/4 tbsp of hinz and curry leaves and.

Transfer this tempered ingredients that kootu mixture and serve hot with plain rice and also go good with idly or dosa.
