Ingredients of Spicy mutton gravy
Spicy mutton gravy
STEP : 1
Cut the 1 kg mutton into medium pieces and wash thoroughly and allow all the water to drain and keep aside.

Heat a non-stick pan, add little oil and fry the red chilly, pepper corns, coriander seeds, shahi or black jeera, cardamom, cinnamon stick, cloves and fry till you get an aroma and keep aside to cool.

Cut 3 onions, 3 garlic cloves and take 4 tablespoon grated coconut and fry well till slightly golden brown and keep aside to cool.

Now add the above fried ingredients from Step 2 and Step 3 to a mixer grinder, add turmeric powder, tamarind, little water and grind to a fine paste.

Heat the pressure cooker and add the cut mutton pieces, add the cut ginger pieces, 1/2 onion thinly sliced, 3 garlic cloves, 2 tablespoon ginger garlic paste, little turmeric powder, salt and 1 table spoon oil and fry well for 5 minutes.

Now add the grinded masala, add little water and close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook well on medium flame for 30 minutes.

After the mutton is cooked, heat a vessel, add little ghee or oil, add little shahi jeera, add œ onion thinly sliced and fry till golden brown.
STEP : 8
Now open the pressure cooker and pour the contents of the cooker to the above vessel in Step 7 and cook well for 5 minutes. Add water if required and adjust the consistency accordingly. The gravy should be little thick.

Now pour the mutton gravy to a bowl and garnish with curry leaves and coriander leaves. The Spicy Chulbuli Mutton gravy is ready to be served. This goes well with chapathi, dosa, idli and rice.
