Soya chunks pulao

STEP : 1
The key ingredients to prepare soya bean tehari,we need rice,soya chunks,onions,tomatoes,ginger,green peas,lemon,red chillies,garam masala,turmeric powder,potatoes,red chilli powder,coriander powder,cumin seeds,bay leaf,lavang,cinnamon,curd,coriander leaves,oil and salt.

STEP : 2
Initially soak a cup of green peas in seperate bowl and also rice for under one to two hour .

STEP : 3
Turn on the low flame ,place a vessel ,add two cups of soya chunks to boil it.

STEP : 4
Add four cups of water and let it boil for few seconds till it become soft.

STEP : 5
Take a blender jar,add ginger and garlic into the jar to make a semi consistency paste .

STEP : 6
Blend it for second ,separate it or else you can finely crunched ginger and garlic .

When it turns soft ,keep in a medium flame and strain the boiled chunks completely.

Place a pressure cooker ,add the soaked green peas with little bit of salt in it.

Add three medium size of potatoes in it,close the lid and leave it for two to three whistles.

After two to three whistles ,when the pressure comes down completely,slightly open the lid and check the potatoes and green peas is well cooked or not.

Drain the water completely ,peel off the potato skin and make it into small pieces.

Lets start seasoning, place a pressure cooker add a cup of oil and let it heat for few minutes.

Add a tablespoon of cumin seeds or jeera in oil and let it splutter for few seconds.

Add a single bay or briyani leaf in hot oil and let fry for few seconds.

Add a small pieces of cinnamon sticks and two pieces of lavang or cloves in hot oil.

Add a cup of thin sliced onions along with spices and saute it few seconds.

Add 3 to 4 green chillies for good sour and saute it for few seconds.

Add a tablespoon of ginger garlic paste and stir it well ,let the raw smell goes away.

Add the tomatoes or blended tomato puree and stir it very well ,cook it till the raw smell goes.

Add a tablespoon of red chilli powder and mix it,let it cook till the raw smell goes.

Add a tablespoon of garam masala powder and mix it,let it cook for few minutes.

Add a tablespoon of turmeric powder to give a good look color and sauté it for few seconds.

Add half tablespoon of coriander powder or malli powder and mix it for few seconds.

Add the boiled soya chunks and mix it very well and let the curry blend it for few seconds.

Boil the curry and leave it for few seconds ,let the soya chunks cook it for few seconds.

Add the boiled green peas and mix it for few seconds and let the curry cook it for few seconds.

Add a cup of yogurt or curd and mix it for good taste ,it is optional,you can skip it.

Add finely chopped coriander leaves and mix it lightly and leave it for few minutes.

Add the boiled potatoes and mix it ,you can add your likely vegetables if you prefer.

Add a lttle bit of salt or as per taste ,add little bit of water and mix it

Add 5 to 6 cashewnuts and mix it for few seconds ,it is optional,you can skip it.

Add the soaked rice into the curry and mix it completely and leave it to cook.

You can add finely chopped mint leaves and mix the rice curry for few seconds.

Add four glass of water into the curry and mix it and these stage check the salt taste,close the lid and leave it for two whistles.

After two whistles when the pressure comes down completely ,slightly open the pressure cooker lid.

squeeze half portion of lemon few drops and gently mix it but it is optional ,our tasty soya bean tehari is ready.
