Ingredients of Sirukeerai kootu
STEP : 1
Take greens and Discard the root parts and wash the greens well in water before chopping them.
STEP : 2
Take the washed greens and Chop the greens with the stem parts and keep it aside.

Take the ingredients cloves garlic 7,onions 6 chopped, 7 dried red chillies ,Moong Dal for making sirukeerai kootu.

Heat the oil in a pan and than add the mustard seeds let it splutters.

Add the clove garlic,onions chopped,and cook for a 2 min on low flame.Until the colour changes.

Add the dried red chillies in the pan let it cook keep it in low flame.

Add the washed moong dhal than mix it all wait for 1 mins.keep it in low flame.
STEP : 8
Now add the chopped greens and saute for 3 mins on medium flame.Do not let it get burnt.

Now add the Asafoetida power than mix it all wait for 1 mins. keep it in low flame

Now add the water and than Salt to taste than keep it for 1 mins.

Now you need close the pan for 4-5 mins than keep it in low flame.

Now bring the water to be boil ,let it cook for 8-10 mins keep it in low flame.
STEP : 13
When it boils keep it in low flame wait for 3-4 mins dont keep it high flame.

Now you can Serve the Keerai kootu with steamed rice,sambar and rasam.It will be tasty to have
