Shakkar pare is different north indian sweet recipe which is low in cholesterol. Even though it is a sweet recipe sugar patient can also eat this recipe. Because we prepare this in wheat and rava.
Ingredients
Shakkar Pare
- 1.00 cup wheat flour
- 1.00 cup ghee
- 2.00 tbsp rava
- 1.00 cup oil
- 2.00 cup sugar
- 1.00 cup water
Instructions
Shakkar Pare
- add wheat flour in to a bowl. Add ghee into that wheat flour. Initially add a little. After we can add as required amount of ghee.
- then add rava in to the wheat flour. We add this rava for fluffy , chubby and crispy diamond biscuits while frying into the oil.
- mix well these three ingredients. After add a small amount of ghee in to that. Make sure that the four is mix well with ghee and rava.
- now the consistency of the flour should be thick due to the mixture of ghee and then that should be sticky with the other flour.
- now add a little amount of milk in to the flour. This will make the dough soft and then smooth. Do not add hot milk in to the flour.
- mix all these and then make a dough very soft and at last add oil so that the dough will not dry and non stick to others.
- now place the dough outside of the bowl. Then take a cotton towel and place that in to the dough. Allow this for soak 20 min.
- place the pan in to the stove. Then pour oil for frying. Make the flame sim. We can make the dough another side.
- now place the dough into floor. Add oil while stretching. Before stretching make the dough in to your hand a little bit.
- after the dough stretching, cut and separate the corner parts of the dough. Remove that from the dough.
- after removing the corner of the dough, cut the dough into needed shape like diamond, square etc. What shape u want
- then take that cutted shaped dough and separate it after cutting that. Otherwise it was sticky with the bottom layer.
- place a pan. Pour oil. After the oil gets heated add the cutted slices in to the oil. Deep fry the dough. Wait until it changes in to golden brown color.
- then take a soft cotton towel. Allow the biscuits to cool in to the cotton towel. Place that separately behind the stove.
- in another side place a pan. Then add water and sugar with it. This is sugar syrup for the biscuits. This makes the recipe sweet.
- allow the sugar to dissolve on to the water. After that, add the cardamom powder in to the sugar syrup for taste.
- wait until the sugar syrup comes for good consistency. The syrup should be sticky while we touch with our fingers.
- then add the sugar syrup in to the diamond biscuits. Add the sugar syrup in hot manner. The biscuits will be cool
- then wait for 10 min. let the bottom biscuits take the syrup well and let it mix together with the sugar syrup.
