Sabudana thalipeeth is a famous south indian dish for breakfast or snacks item. Most people are like this dish and kids also. This is a nutrition and healthy food for all age groups.
Ingredients
- 1.00 cup sabudhana
- 1.00 cup Wheat flour
- 3.00 no Potatoes
- 0.75 cup Peanuts
- 0.50 tbsp Cumin seeds
- 0.25 cup Garlic cloves
- 0.50 no Ginger
- 1.00 tbsp Green chillies
- 0.50 cup Coriander leaves
- 4.00 tbsp Oil
- 0.50 tbsp Black pepper powder
- 0.50 tbsp Salt
Instructions
- The key ingredients to prepare Sabudhana Thalipeeth ,we need Sabudhana,wheat flour, potatoes,onions ,coriander leaves, peanuts,ginger and garlic,black pepper powder, cumin seeds,green chillies,Salt and oil for shallow fry.
- Initially Take a cup of sabudhana or javvarisi in a seperate bowl for soaking purpose.
- Add two cups of water along with the sabudhana and let it soak for overnight.
- Turn on the flame , add three nos of washed potatoes in a pressure cooker and leave it for 2 whistles.
- After 2 to 3 whistles,open the lid and drain the water completely.and peel the skin. Mash the boiled potatoes .
- For making blended and smooth paste ,add a cup of garlic cloves and ginger in a jar.
- After blending it into a semi coarse paste ,transfer the ginger garlic paste in a bowl.
- Add half cup of peanuts or groundnuts and fry it for few seconds in medium flame.
- When it is dry roasted ,slow down the flame then transfer it in a blender.
- Blend it for few seconds till it turns semi grounded nuts not too much powder.
- After 8 to 10 hours or overnight Strain the sabudhana soaked water then transfer in a bowl.
- Add the well mashed potato along with the soaked sabudhana for making tasty and spicy thalipeeth.
- Add a cup of wheat flour or else amaranth flour along with the mashed potatoes.
- Add a tablespoon of ginger garlic paste along with the mixture or crunched ginger alone.
- Add the semi grounded peanuts or groundnuts along with the other ingredients in a mixing bowl.
- Add a cup of finely chopped onions along with the other ingredients in a bowl.
- Add a tablespoon of finely chopped green chillies along with the ingredients for more spices.
- Add half tablespoon of cumin seeds or jeera powder along with the multi ingredients in a bowl.
- Add half tablespoon crunched black pepper powder along with the multi ingredients in a bowl.
- Add little bit of salt or as per your taste along with the multi ingredients.
- Add half cup of finely chopped coriander leaves or cilantro along with the combined mixture.
- Mix all the ingredients by using hands and prepare like a dough like shown below .
- Take half plantain leaf,apply a little bit oil ,take some amount of mixture and shape it.
- Turn on the flame ,place a griddle , drop a single thalipeeth on top of griddle.
- Add required oil or ghee for shallow fry and let it heat for few minutes.
- Flip the thalipeeth gently and let it fry on other sides and take out from the oil,do the remaining all in a same way.Our tasty sabudhana thalipeeth is ready now.
