An Authentic Bengali Style Helathy Rui Macher Jhol Dish For Kids

- 4.00 nos fish piece
- 6.00 nos cauliflower
- 2.00 tbsp potato
- 0.25 tbsp ginger
- 0.50 tbsp cumin
- 0.50 nos onion
- 1.00 tbsp curd
- 0.25 tbsp turmeric powder
- 0.50 tbsp red chili powder
- 0.25 tbsp salt
- 0.50 tbsp coriander leaves
- 3.00 tbsp oil
- 0.25 tbsp coriander powder
Instructions
Rui Macher Jhol
- Chop the potato/aloo and cauliflower/ fulkopi into pieces and heat oil in a kadai. Fry the potato and cauliflower until the raw smell of it get completely vanished. The vegetables should be lightly fried.
- Make a paste of half onion, œ teaspoon cumin seeds, œ inch ginger, 1 tablespoon of curd, œ teaspoon of red chili powder, Œ teaspoon of turmeric powder, and salt as required with a little water and heat oil in a kadai, add this paste and saute it for few minutes. Now add the fried fish and mix it well with species.
- Now add 1 and half cup of water and reduce the flame. Add fried potato and cauliflower; reduce the flame to low and cover the lid.
- Cook till all the vegetables are completely done. Dont overcook it otherwise the vegetables will become too mushy and fish pieces may break. Turn off the flame and transfer it to a serving bowl and garnish with coriander leaves.
