Oh yes, I am roasting chicken at home, no I really don’t have to inform any of my neighbours as the smell already makes them crave for it. Roast chicken is one of the best recipes which you can prepare easily at home with less ingredients.

I prefer using an air fryer to roast chicken, but you can also use an oven to roast it. If you want to make roast chicken gravy, then use the same ingredients and cook it in a kadai by adding required water.

If you increase the quantity of chicken then you must increase the cooking time. Check properly whether the chicken is tender before serving.

Ingredients of Roast chicken
STEP : 1
Take the chicken thigh piece as shown in the image and clean it from inside very well so that it is ready for marination.

Set aside the lemon, onion, garlic , the red chili flakes, oregano, mustard sauce and the black pepper powder which would be mixed together to make the marination sauce.

Mix all the contents except the lemon juice (namely mustard sauce, salt, oregano, garlic and onion paste, chili flakes, black pepper powder ) and make a uniform paste.

Apply the sauce that was made in the earlier step on the chicken piece evenly on all directions and set it aside.

Now squeeze half of the lemon and form a juice from the lemon and keep it aside in a bowl to be added to the marination just before being grilled.

Now place the chicken piece on an air fryer and then start grilling the same. The fryer base should be greased with oil before placing the chicken.

Now roast the chicken in the fryer by turning to the other side when one side is cooked i.e. it turns brownish in color.

After the chicken is grilled on all sides then take it out from the fryer and set it aside in a plate to cool.

Make the serving plate ready by placing the sliced onion in the plate and also add the sprouted green moong dal and then the dish is ready to be served along with the roasted chicken.
