STEP : 1
Wash the ribbed gourd and potato very well and peel them and cut them into small cubes as shown in the image.
STEP : 2
Heat oil in a kadai and add the kalonji seeds also add the bay leaf and fry them well till the kalonji burns.
STEP : 3
Add the chopped potato cubes and fry them well till they turn golden in color. Add the poppy seeds paste and the coconut paste to the same and fry it.

Add the salt, sugar, turmeric and the slit green chili and fry them well with the potato and the masala.
STEP : 5
Add the chopped ribbed gourd to the mixture and cook it well. Water is drained out of ribbed gourd so do not add any extra water to the mixture.
STEP : 6
Cook the vegetables well so that it is all boiled and blend very well and all the water is drained off add the cardamom paste and the vegetable is ready to be served.
