Ingredients of Rava mathri

STEP : 1
The key ingredients to prepare rava mathri, we need rava ,rice flour,ajwain,cumin seeds,green chillies,oil and salt.

Initially turn on the flame,place a tawa add one and half cup of sooji in it.

Add a cup of rice flour that should be in a rava consistency and roast it.

When it is roasted lightly,turn off the flame then transfer it in a seperate bowl.

Add half cup of refined oil or cooking oil in it for better taste and crispness.

Add a tablespoon of finely chopped green chilies for more spices but it is optional.

Add a tablespoon of cumin seeds or crunched cumin seeds along with the miscellaneous ingredients.

Add a tablespoon of red chilli powder for more spices ,you can even skip it

Add a tablespoon of ajwain or carom seeds that too finely crunched along with the ingredients.

Now give it a good mix everything completley by using hands like a bread crumbs

Add little bit of water and mix it well ,don't add too much of water.

Add a tablespoon of salt or according to your taste and mix it completely once again.

Now prepare it like a rough dough with out adding too much of water in it.

Let it refridgerate under 15 to 20 minutes till it turns a sticky rava dough.

After 15 to 20 minutes make it a small or lemon size balls of it.

Gently press the ball on center of your palm or else you can roll it

In a same way do all the balls in a even flat shape and set it aside.

Turn on the flame ,place a non stick pan ,add required oil to deep fry and let it heat for few minutes.

When the oil heats ,drop a single roll carefully into hot oil and let it fry few seconds.

After few seconds,Flip the roll gently and let it fry on other sides and take out from the oil,do the remaining all in a same way.Our tasty and crispy rava mathri is ready.
