Ingredients of Rajma chawal
STEP : 1
The key ingredients to prepare rajma pulao,we need rice ,rajma,onions,,tomatoes,green chillies,ghee,mint leaves,ginger garlic paste,lemon,bay leaf,coriander leaves,cashewnuts,cinnamons,cardamoms,red chilly powder,garam masala powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder,cumin seeds ,oil and salt.

Take a cup of rajma or kidney beans in a seperate bowl to soak it.

Add a cup of water and soak it under 6 to 7 hours or possible if overnight.

Take two cups of rice ,soak it for 10 to 15 minutes,you can use basmati rice.

Turn on the flame,place a pressure cooker add soaked rajma or kidney beans or red beans in it.

Add two cups of water or else you can cook it in a pan for few minutes.

Close the cooker lid and leave it for two to three whistles in a high flame.

Take a mixie jar,add few ginger pieces and few garlic cloves to make fine paste.

Blend it for few minutes till it becomes soft and transfer it in a plate.

After two to three whistles ,when the pressure comes down completely slightly open the lid.

When it cools strain the rajma or red beans using strainer in a seperate bowl.

You can add the strained water for preparing pulao ,it increases the taste of pulao.

For tampering turn on the flame,place a pressure cooker ,add a tablespoon of ghee and let it melt.

Now again add two to three tablespoon of cooking oil along with the melted ghee.

Add a single bay leaf or biryani leaf in hot oil and let it splatter.

Add the broken cinnamon sticks in hot oil and let it splatter for few seconds.

Add two to three crunched green cardamoms in hot oil for good smell and taste.

Add a tablespoon of cumin seeds or shahjeera in hot oil and let it splatter.

Add 5 to 6 cashews in hot oil but it is optional ,you can skip it.

Add a cup of thin sliced onions and saute all these and let it cook for few minutes.

Add 3 to 4 green chillies or red chillies finely chopped and saute them for few minutes .

Add a tablespoon of ginger garlic paste and saute it finely till the raw smell goes.

Add a cup of finely chopped tomatoes and saute the mixture very well untill the tomatoes are nicely boiled.

Add a tablespoon of red chilli powder and saute it thoroughly and let it cook few seconds.

When the mixture turns gravy ,add half tablespoon of turmeric powder and mix it completely.

Add a tablespoon of coriander powder and mix it ,you can add a fine pieces of capsicum if you prefer.

Add half tablespoon of garam masala or dhania powder and saute the mixture completely for few seconds.

Add a tablespoon of salt or as per taste and mix it ,you can add a little bit black pepper powder

Add half cup finely chopped fresh coriander leaves or cilantro and mix it completely for few seconds.

Add a cup of fresh mint leaves and mix it ,let the mint blend with gravy.

Squeeze half portion of lemon juice or few drops of lemon juice in a gravy.

Add the boiled red beans or rajma and mix it completely ,let it blend for few seconds.

After mixing it ,add the soaked and drained rice and mix it well with gravy.

According to the measurement ,add a rajma or boiled red beans water in the mixture.

Remaining measurement,add water into the mixture and mix it completely ,let it boil for few seconds.

When everything is complete,Close the pressure cooker lid and leave it for two whistles in medium flame.

After two whistles ,turn off the flame,when the pressure comes down ,slowly open the lid then transfer it in a serving bowl.Our tasty Rajma pulao is ready.
