STEP : 1
Wash and clean the jumbo prawns to remove the head, tail and de vein the same. Then wash it under running water.

Add the cornflour, salt and egg to the prawn and mix it very well so that the prawn are coated by the batter.

Heat oil in a frying pan and deep fry the batter coated prawns till they are turned into golden brown.

Deep fry the prawns on both sides and drain the excess oil and then put them aside in a plate.

Chop the onion, capsicum and garlic into large pieces and slit the green chili to make the kadai gravy in which the prawn will be cooked.

Heat oil in a kadai and add the onions a sprinkle of salt and the green chili and fry them till the onion softens.

Add the capsicum and garlic and deep fry them along with the onion and cook the same for 4-5 minutes till all the vegetables are softened.

Once the above mixture is fried well add the tomato sauce. Preferably tomato chili sauce to make it more hot and spicy and cook for a minute till the sauce turns brownish.

Add the batter fried prawn to the mixture and blend it well with the fried onion and capsicum and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Add half a cup of water to the prawn and cool for some time till almost all the water is drained off.
