Potato Croquettes – Crunchy And Crispy Potato Croquettes Recipe
For Potato Balls Preparation
- 4.00 nos Potatoes
- 1.00 cup Onions
- 1.00 tbsp Red chilli powder
- 0.50 tbsp Coriander powder
- 1.00 tbsp black pepper powder
- 1.00 cup bread crumbs
- 1.00 tbsp Salt
For Maida Flour Preparation
- 3.00 tbsp Maida
- 2.00 tbsp corn flour
- 1.00 cup Milk
For Potato Masala Preparation
- The key ingredients to prepare potato croquettes ,we need potatoes,onions ,bread crumbs,maida,corn flour,red chilli powder,black pepper powder,coriander powder,salt and oil for deep fry.
- Initially turn on the flame, wash and add four medium sized potatoes and leave it under 2 to 3 whistles.
- After 2 to 3 whistles ,when the pressure calms down ,open the lid and drain the water completely.
- After draining the water,peel the potato skin and mash it very well or grate the boiled potatoes.
- After mashing the potatoes thoroughly ,add finely chopped a cup of onions into the mashed potatoes .
- Add a tablespoon of red chilly powder into the mashed potatoes,you can add a tablespoon of dhania if you prefer.
- Add a tablespoon of coriander powder and mix it ,let the spices spread evenly into the mixture.
- Add a tablespoon of black pepper powder then mix it gently , you can sprinkle finely chopped coriander leaves.
- Add two tablespoon of bread crumbs and mix it ,add little bit of cornflour if you prefer.
- Add little bit of salt or as per your taste ,mix it well and keep it aside for few minutes.
For Maida Flour Preparation
- To prepare a coating batter ,initially take a maida or all purpose flour in a seperate bowl.
- Add one and half tablespoon of corn flour or con starch and pinch of salt if you prefer.
- Add a cup of warm milk into the mixing flour and prepare a light thick batter.
- Mix the batter thoroughly using spoon without any lumps ,batter should be too thin consistency.
Preparation for Potato croquettes
- Grease your palm with little bit oil ,take a mixture and make a lemon size ball shape.
- In a same way do the remaining balls and keep aside in a seperate plate.
- Take a single ball ,dip the ball into the batter and coat it evenly on all sides.
- Take a dipped ball by using spoon and coat it with bread crumbs on all sides.
- Do the remaining ball in a same way and keep it in a seperate plate now its time to deep fry.
- Turn on the flame ,place a non stick pan ,add required oil to deep fry and let it heat for few minutes.
- When the oil heats ,drop the balls one by one carefully into hot oil and let it cook few seconds.
- Flip the balls gently ,when it turns golden brown ,take it out and drain the oil ,transfer it in a seperate plate ,our yummy potato croquettes is ready now.
