  • 2.00 cup Rice
  • 1.00 nos Potatoes
  • 3.00 nos Tomatoes
  • 2.00 nos Onions
  • 1.00 cup Mint leaves
  • 1.00 nos Cardamom
  • 3.00 nos clove
  • 2.00 nos Bay leaves
  • 1.00 tbsp Chilly powder
  • 1.00 tbsp Salt
  • 1.00 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1.00 tbsp Shahi biryani masala

Instructions

  • Finely slice two onions, chop the tomatoes, finely chop the mint leaves and slit the green chilies and keep it aside.

  • Slice the potatoes into cubes so that they do not get smashed when they get cooked along with the rice. Keep sliced potatoes aside.

  • In a pan or a wok pour two tbsp of oil, once the oil gets heated add the sliced onions into the wok and cook till the onions turn translucent. once the onions turn translucent add ginger garlic paste, bay leaf, clove and cardamon to it.

  • To the mixture add the chopped tomatoes and add a little bit of salt so that the tomatoes gets cooked quickly. And also add a bit of turmeric powder and biryani masala to it.

  • Once the raw smell of the tomatoes goes away, add the chopped mint leaves and the slit green chilies and mix it well.

  • To the above mixture add the diced potatoes and mix it well with the mixture so that the potatoes gets well along with the spices and the masala.

  • To the rice cooker container add the cup of rice and two cups of water and put the cooked mixture in the wok to the container and mix well. Switch on the rice cooker and leave it till the power button automatically gets to the warm button and serve the hot hot biryani and garnish with onion rings.
