Poli sweet is one of the sweetest south indian style snack recipe and less time to make this dish. This luscious dessert prepared during festivals or occation.
Ingredients
Flour Preparation
- 1.00 cup Maida
Dal Sweet Preparation
- 0.25 cup Cashew nut powder
- 1.00 cup Jaggrey
- 2.00 nos Yeklaki
- 8.00 tbsp Ghee
- 1.00 cup Bengal gram
- 1.00 cup Oil
Instructions
Dal Sweet Preparation
- Take all the ingredients and keep it ready I have kept the Maida and cashew nut powder as a mixture you can add the a yelaki powder or the whole
- In a cooker add the Bengal gram and add water to it in the ratio of 1:3 and keep it in a stove for about eight whistles to come or if the gram is soaked in water just 3 whistles is enough
- Once it cooked nicely leave the Gram to cool down and after that blend it in the mixer grinder without adding water and take that in a pan add the powdered jaggery to it and mix it nicely like a chapati doug and make it small balls like laddu
Preparation For Sweet Poli
- Now in a pan add maida cashew nut powder sugar and turmeric powder mix them nicely and add little water mix it and prepare it like a chapati doug
- To the doug add oil and smash it nicely till you get a soft consistency adding oil more is very important at this stage and make them as a small ball Like laddu as we prepared earlier
- Now take a polythene cover or Banana Leaf apply oil nicely to that and keep the Maida ladoo over it, with your hand spread them as Puri don’t use chapati maker and in the centre of the Puri keep the Bengal gram laddu and folded from all the sides and make it as a single ladoo
- Now apply oil over it and with your hand make it as adai again and keep a tava on the stove and put the prepared adai over it and add ghee to the both sides and roast it nicely now our tastey and healthy cashew yellow adai is ready to serve
