Paneer is a hot favourite with my family. Not only us, but most of the people like the taste of paneer. When combined with the other ingredients, it tastes awesome. Cashewnuts make the dish more variant and enhance the taste of the gravy. This is a thick gravy and can be had with hot rotis. I remember this recipe because we had a very good teacher who taught us many superb recipes and I felt this recipe specially should be shared with everyone.

Ingredients of Paneer kurma

2.00 no Onions
1.00 tbsp Garlic paste
1.00 tbsp Pepper
10.00 no Kaju
2.00 tbsp Salt
0.50 tbsp Turmeric
2.00 cup Paneer
5.00 tbsp Oil
0.50 gram Dalchini
4.00 no Lavang
3.00 no Cardamoms
1.00 cup Curds
1.00 gram Saffron
2.00 no Tomatoes
1.00 tbsp Chili powder

Paneer kurma

Grind to a paste, Onions, Tomatoes, Garlic paste, Mirchi powder, Pepper powder, Kaju Garam masala, Salt 2 tbsp, turmeric 1/2 tbsp

Marinate the paneer with salt and 1/2 tsp chilly powder. Grind the masala of onions, tomatoes, garlic, chilly powder, pepper powder, kaju, garam masala, salt and turmeric.

Mix saffron with curds. Keep aside. Slice a onion thinly and mix it with salt and sugar. Deep fry and keep aside for decoration

Heat the oil. Add dalchini, lavang and cardamoms. Add the masala and fry till the oil separates. Add the curds mixture and again fry till the oil separates.

Add the paneer to the masala. Mix gently so as to not break the paneer. Cook for a few minutes till well blended. Garnish with the fried onions and kaju. Serve hot with rotis along with some salad.
