STEP : 1
Khichdi is a great comfort food. Its a simple, healthy but traditional Bengali dish . Palak khichdi is easy and great way to eat spinach or palak. It is very nutritious for everyone but specially for kids and older peoples.
STEP : 2
At first take dal . We can use different types of dals in verities of khichdi but specially for spinach khichdi or palak khichdi here we use tuar dal. Instead of tuar dal you can use yellow masoor dal too.
STEP : 3
We take the 50 -50 ratio of dal and rice. Soak rice for 10 mins. rinse well and keep aside. Chopped spinach finely. wash spinach and rinse well. Now grate 1 inch of ginger . Chopped tomato finely keep aside.

Now take a kadhai and heat it properly. Now add 2 tbsp. of ghee in kadhai . Add 1/2 tbsp. of jeera or cumin seeds and 2 pinch of hing in it. When the cumin or jeera started frying then add green cardmom and cumin sticks in the ghee.

We get a awesome aroma from the kadhai. Now add dal in the ghee of the kadhai. Fry the dal still it getting light brown colour. Now add the washed and rinse rice in it . Keep frying in medium flame gas.

Now add chopped ginger and chopped tomato in it. Mix the whole ingredients properly. Now add turmeric powder and salt in it . Add 2 green chilies in it . Now add the chopped spinach or palak in it and mix.
STEP : 7
Now add 2 pinch of sugar in it. Add 2 cups of water in it, slow the gas and cover it for 15 to 20 mins. After that open the cover you can see your palak khichdi is ready add 2 tbsp. of ghee in it . Serve hot with papad.
