  • 1.00 cup Raw Rice
  • 3.00 cup Milk
  • 6.00 nos Cashew Nuts
  • 6.00 nos Dry Grapes
  • 2.00 tbsp Ghee
  • 0.75 tbsp Sugar

  • Rinse and soak a cup of raw rice in fresh water for at least 30 minutes, And now drained out the water completely, You can also use Broken raw rice which is easily cooked.

  • Heat a pan add two tbsp of ghee with them, when it starts melt add some cashew nuts and dry grapes with them and roast them in low flame.

  • Then transfer the roasted nuts and grapes to a plate, then add the well soaked and drained raw rice with them.

  • Stir fry them till it well roasted without increasing the flame, which is prevent from bottom burning, Saute well till the ghee flavor comes to the rice.

  • At this meanwhile heat another pan and add three cups of fresh milk with them and brings to boil well.

  • When the milk gets well boiled and comes to tender state by losing their moisturizing agent, now remove from flame, when it is thick.

  • Then add the well boiled fresh and thick milk to that roasted rice mixture and stir well, keep the flame as low to avoid burning.

  • Stir them well and be noted that this milk to be 3:1 ratio for the one cup of rice we have added,and close the lid and give some cooking time for them in low flame.

  • Again open the lid and cook them well till the rice gets well cooked and it is to be soft and smooth.

  • When the rice gets 90 percent boiled now the time to add sugar now, so add 3/4 cup of sugar with them and stir well till it completely dissolves.

  • When the rice gets completely cooked and smash them well using a ladle to get thick paayasam, and now remove from the flame and garnish those roasted raisins and nuts and serve hot.
