Orange vatha kulambu

STEP : 1
Soak the small gooseberry size tamarind in lukewarm water. Put the garlic in a ammi kal and smash it a coarse paste. Cut the oranges in to two pieces and remove the seed. Also grind the small onions and tomatoes in to a smooth paste separately.

STEP : 2
Heat the oil in the kadai, add garlic, curry leaves and fry till the garlic becomes brown. Add the onion paste and fry it until it become transparent. Add tomato paste and fry it until the raw smell goes away

STEP : 3
Take the tamarind water in a separate bowl and add the chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and mix it well. Prepare this extract until the onion and tomato leaves the oil from the sides of the pan.

STEP : 4
Now add the tamarind water mixture to the pan, close the lid and allow it to boil for ten minutes. Remove the lid, add the oranges and leave it for two minutes. Now the onion vatha kulambhu is ready and it can be served hot.
