Ingredients of Nombu kanji
STEP : 1
Take semolina and vermicelli in a pan and saute it well, when its nicely roasted, then add water to it.
STEP : 2
Let the semolina and vermicelli gets half cooked and when it is nicely boiled and mixed well, keep the flame low.
STEP : 3
Add milk to it and add little ghee to it and stir well, add sugar to it and then close the pan.
STEP : 4
Mean while heat another pan for frying the small onion, so first add ghee to it and when it melts.
STEP : 5
Add the shallots to it and stir well, when its nicely fried add cashew nuts to it and when it gets fried or roasted add raisins to it and stir well.
STEP : 6
when the raisins also gets fried well off the flame, check our milk mix and when it is nicely boiled and cooked well add these roasted mix to it.
STEP : 7
Then stir it well and add add sugar if needed, our nombu kanji or thari kanji is ready to serve. serve hot or chilled.
