Korai shutir Nimona is a Bengali lunch dish. It is a seasonal dish prepared in winter season.when we can get freash peas. Its a different type of gravy dish served with rice in lunch time. It is a rich spicy dish.

This dish is mainly prepared by koraishuti or freash green peas . We can say Its specially a winter dish when we can get freash peas. Its a different type of gravy dish which is made with green peas paste.

For this dish we need green peas. we will divide half portion to make a paste and the rest is add to the gravy. At first grind the peas in a grinder once. It should not be a smooth paste it should be a rough paste.

Now take 2 or 3 potatoes . Peel the potatoes finely and cut it in small cubes. keep aside. Now take onion and chopped it finely. Take approx. 1 inch of ginger and 6 to 7 cloves of garlic and make a smooth paste .

Take tomatoes and make a smooth tomato paste. This dish is sour and spicy so we need a thick amount of tomato paste. We arrange all things what we want. Now we take a kadhai and heat it properly

Now add 4 tbsp. of mastered oil in the kadhai. To make dish spicy we have to use 4 tbsp.or more oil. Now add jeera or cumin seeds and one bay leaf in the oil and let it be splattered.

Make sure the gas flame should not be high it should be medium unless the green peas paste will stick to the bottom of the kadhai. Now uyou have to add 2 tbsp. of more mastered oil in it . The raw smell of the mastered oil gives the dish a beautiful smell.

After that add chopped onions Lets fry . When it becomes pinkish colour add tomato paste and ginger garlic paste in it. Now add turmeric powder, coriander powder salt , red chilly powder in it. It is a spicy dish you can add red chilly in a thick quantity.

Now add raw green peas in it and mix the whole ingredients with the masala. Now add garam masala powder in it. Add 1 or 2 pinch of sugar in it. Add 1 nd half cup of water and sim the gas and cover it for 15 mins. After 15 mins open the cover switch off the gas and add 1 or to tbsp. of ghee and serve it with hot rice.
