STEP : 1
Wash the potol or parwal, peel the skin and cut it into half. Take fresh coconut and chopped them into small size, take 2 3 whole red chili and 1 cup of poppy seeds soaked in warm water.Also heat mustard oil in a non-stick pan and shallow fry the potol or parwal.
STEP : 2
Remove the fried potol or parwal to a separate plate. In the same non-stick pan add whole red chili, cumin seeds and fennel seeds. And sauté it for few seconds.

Now take poppy seeds which were soaked in water, drain the excess water and grind it to make a fine paste. Also take the chopped coconut and grind it.

Now add the paste of poppy seeds and fresh grinded coconut to the same non-stick pan and sauté it for 5 8 minutes on a low flame. A sweet aroma will come out.

Add cumin powder, turmeric powder, salt as required and pinch of sugar. Sauté it and then add 1 -2 cup of water and fried potol or parwal. Cover the pan with lid and reduce the flame to low.
STEP : 6
After 10 15 minutes remove the lid. Evaporate the excess liquid and check the consistency of gravy, sauté it until oil get start to separate from gravy.
STEP : 7
Finally add garam masala and 1 tablespoon of ghee, mix them properly. Transfer it to a serving bowl and garnish with coriander leaves. Serve it with steamed rice and dal.
