Ingredients of Mutton kosha

Bengali's are foodie no doubt. Today i am sharing a dish which is i bet is most famous, popular and delicious dish in any Bengali kitchen. Its 'Mutton Kosha ' it is a very spicy and tasty dish You also love it.

In whole It is Bengali Tradition's one dish that never fails to impress anyone, that is the spicy Bengali Mutton curry or Kosha mangsho. Today i bring for you this authentic traditional Bengali dish straight from the Bengali kitchen.

At first take 1 kg mutton here we make it for 4 persons. We can take boneless mutton or mutton with bone as you like. Take mutton and wash it properly in a bowl.Add 1/2 tbsp of turmeric powder in it.

Mix the turmeric powder properly add 1 tbsp viniger in it.Mix it and keep aside.Take 2 medium sized onion chopped it finely. Keep aside .Take 2 medium sized onion peel it and cut it in small cubes .

Take 2 inch ginger peel it and cut into small pieces.Take 8 to 10 cloves of garlic and peel it .Take mixture grinder jar add onion , ginger and garlic in it .Make a smooth paste.Small pieces makes the paste smooth.

Now take cooker . Add 3 tbsp of mustard oil in it .Add 1 bay leaf a pinch of sugar in it . Add 1 inch cinnamon stick and 5 to 6 cloves in it.Fry it till the aroma comes out from the cooker.

Add chopped onion in it fry it till it gets brown colour. Now add the mutton in it lets fry it for few mins.Add the smooth onion , ginger and garlic paste in it. Mix it pro perly.

Now add 3 tbsp of plain yogurt in it .Add turmeric powder red chilly powder and garam masala powder. Add salt and a pinch of sugar Mix the whole ingredients. Fry till it started eaving oil from the sides.

Then take a bowl and add 2 cps of water and let it boil. Now add the boiled water in the cooker.mix well.Cover the cooker. Let it be cooked.After 15 mins open the cooker and check the mutton is ready or not.Serve it with hot rice or roti.
