STEP : 1
These are the simple ingredients required to make the moong dal khichdi with Papad. These ingredients are easily available in the market shops.

Remove the skin of onion and chop it in pieces. Wash the curry leaves, coriander leaves and chop it in pieces, pudina also wash and chop, and green chillies.

Now dry roast the moong dal using pan or kadai on low flame for few seconds. Make sure that the raw smell disappear from the moong dal.

Now soak rice in water for 10 to 15 minutes. And also wash the rice before soaking.

Along with rice you need to soak moong Dal. Pour the dry roasted moong Dal in soaked rice and soak them together for 15 minutes.

Till the rice and moong dal is kept for soaking take a cooking utensil and pour oil in it. Allow the oil to heat up.

As the oil gets heated up now slowly and chopped onions in the cooking utensil.

When the onion turns pink in colour and the raw smell disappear now add green chillies in it.

After adding green chillies now add washed curry leaves in the utensil. Make sure that the stove is on the medium flame.

Now add the washed and chopped in the small pieces of the Pudina leaves in the cooking utensil.

After adding pudina now add the washed and chopped coriander leaves in the utensil. And cook for few seconds.

As all the ingredients mixes together well now you need to add the ginger garlic paste in it.

After adding Ginger garlic paste in it now add the turmeric powder. And stir well.

As all the items mixes well with each other now add salt in it. You can increase or decrease the quantity of salt as per taste required.

Now pour 1 liter of water in the cooking utensil and allow the mixture to boil.

When the mixture comes to the boiling point now add the washed and soaked rice with moong Dal slowly in it. Before adding remove the excess water used for soaking.

Now let it cook well for 10 to 15 minutes till the rice and moong dal is cooked well. Keep the flame medium to high.

Cook the rice well till the water in the utensil gets disappear and the rice is cooked well. You should stir the mixture 1 to 2 times only while cooking. This is where the rice is ready.

Now take a pan or kadai and in it add oil for frying the masala papad .

As the oil gets heated up now slowly leave the masala papad In it and fry.
STEP : 21
Fry this masala papas on both sides equally. In the same manner fry all the papads one by one.

Finally the moong dal khichdi with Papad is ready to eat. Serve it hot and enjoy with your family members.
