STEP : 1
Step 1: Take 100 grams of paitham parupu. Place the pan. Fry the paitham parupu without oil. Make the flame as slow.

Step 2: Now take the paitham parupu in a golden color. Then wash that well with water. Keep it aside for few minutes.

Step 3: Place the another pan on the stove. Add 2.5 tumbler water in to it. Wait for the boiling temperature of the water.

Step 4: Now add the dal ( which we already washed ) in to the hot water. And wait for the dal to be boil well.

Step 5: In that mean time, break up the cashews as small pieces. This will be help to give a beautiful taste while eating.

Step 6: Now place the same pan as we used before. Pour Ghee then fry the cashew into the ghee. Wait for the cashew golden color. Keep it aside.

Step 7: Now this image shows you the level of the boiled dal. In this stage of the dal we can add the other ingredient with it. If it not reach this stage wait for some more time to boil.

Step 8: Now another side, Break up the jaggery as small pieces and keep that ready to add to the dal if it was boiled.

Step 9: After the dal is boiled, add the jaggery in to it. Dont add jaggery if the dal is not boil. This will rotten the dish.

Step 10: Wait for the jaggery to be soluble into the water. Then add the milk into it. This will gives you a pleasant taste.

Step 11: Once the milk is added wait for 3 to 4 min. The raw smell of milk should be removed. Then add the fried cashew in to the payasam.

Step 12: At last, take the cardamom, break up that into small pieces. Then add the cardamom in to the dal payasam. This is for the pleasant smell. Now we can serve the dal payasam to the people.
