This is a combo platter where a seven type of fries and a boiled khichdi with lots of mixed vegetable is provided as an offering to Lord Krishna. It is termed as the Bhog and is very healthy and tasty at the same time

Ingredients of Mixed vegetable khichdi

Mixed vegetable khichdi

7 vegetables fry.  Peel all the vegetables namely potato, pumpkin, pointed gourd, spiny gourd, cauliflower and chop the brinjal and long beans as shown in the figure.

Take the Gobindo Bhog rice and Moong Dal in equal proportion and mix them in a bowl as shown in the figure.

Peel and wash and cut the vegetables for the khichdi as shown in the figure.  Cut the potato into 2 halves.  Cut the pumpkin into cubes and same for the papaya and the carrot.  Cut the long beans into small pieces.  Cut the cauliflower into small florets.

Heat oil in a kadai and add cumin seeds and fry them till they turn blackish, add the bay leaf and the red chili.

Add the rice and the dal mixture to the hot oil, add the green chili and fry them well in the kadai.

Add all the vegetables which were cut in the earlier step for the khichdi and mix them well in the kadai. Pour the entire contents into a pressure cooker and cook it for 10 minutes.
