Thepla is very popular dish among gujarati and also very nutrient. Basically thepla is prepared with fenugreek leaves and some spices. Thepla can be eaten as main dish or in lunch box. Thepla is a flatbread which is serving with curd or chutney.

Ingredients of Methi thepla

2.00 cup Methi leaves
3.00 cup wheat flour
1.00 cup curd
1.00 tbsp hing
0.50 tbsp turmeric powder
0.25 tbsp salt
4.00 tbsp oil

Methi thepla

Take a bunch of methi leaves, wash it with clean water at least for 5 – 6 minutes so that all the impurities get remove. Now separate the leaves from the bunch of methi leaves and keep it in a bowl.

Mix the entire ingredient, if require add little among of water to make a perfect dough. Apply oil on the surface of dough and keep this thepla dough at least for 4 – 5 hours.

Divide the dough into equal parts. Now take one ball of dough and cover it with dry wheat flour, make flat bread of round shape or of diameter of 6 inch like roti or normal paratha.

Now heat a non-stick tawa and apply a little amount of oil over it. Place the thepla on the heated tawa, reduce the flame to low so that it cook completely. Apply 1 teaspoon of oil on the top of flat bread or thepla and flip the thepla to another side.
