Ingredients of Meen pollichathu
STEP : 1
Fish pollikal is a delicious and spicy dish usually made by keralians. At first, clean the fish nicely 2-3 times and put the fishes in a muddy vessel.

Put all the ingredients like red chilly powder, turmeric powder, black pepper powder, onion cutted in thin ring shape, green chili and ginger garlic paste and salt to taste mix all this with water. The mixture should be little bit thick.

Apply this mixture on the fish nicely in each and every parts of the fish.Keep the fish for 5-10 minute so that the flavour of the mixture spreads in all the parts of the fish.

Take the banana leaf clean it nicely and then steam the leaf on top of the gas stove as shown in the image for 10-15 seconds both the side.

Keep the fishes on the leaf as shown in the image and tie the leaf with the help of banana leaf thread.
STEP : 6
Keep the muddy vessel on the gas stove (medium heat ) till the vessel gets hot little bit and then place the tied banana leaf on the vessel. It hardly takes 15-20 minute for the fish to get ready one side and same way for other side. Fish pollikal is ready.
