- 1.00 cup Moth Bean
- 5.00 nos Tomatoes
- 2.00 cup Onions
- 4.00 nos Ginger Pieces
- 0.25 cup Garlic Cloves
- 1.00 cup Potatoes
- 3.00 nos Green Chilies
- 0.25 cup Curry Leaves
- 1.00 tbsp Goda Masala
- 1.00 tbsp Coriander Powder
- 0.5 tbsp Garam Masala
- 1.00 tbsp Red Chili Powder
- 0.25 tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 0.25 cup Coriander Leaves
- 4.00 tbsp Oil
- 1.00 tbsp Salt
Instructions
Matki Amti Recipe
- One day earlier soak a cup of moth beans in a separate bowl for overnight.
- Open the green gram sprouts leaving the grams in a whole day tends nice and healthy sprouts.
- To prepare masala puree ,take a blender add five nos of small tomatoes in a jar.
- Add a cup of thin sliced onions along with the tomatoes in a mixie jar.
- Add a few garlic cloves along with the tomatoes and onions in a mixie jar
- Add a few ginger pieces along with the tomatoes and onions in a mixie jar.
- Blend it for few seconds till the ingredients turns semi coarse paste and keep aside.
- For seasoning turn on the flame ,place a pressure cooker add few tablespoons of oil .
- Add half tablespoon of mustard seeds in hot oil and let it crack few seconds.
- Add 2 to 3 small green chilli pieces , you can also add green chilli paste instead of green chillies.
- Add a cup of shallot onions and saute it few seconds till it turns translucent.
- Add few curry leaves for better aroma and splutter few seconds then fry few seconds.
- Add the blended masala puree along with the seasoning ingredients and mix it few seconds.
- Add a cup of potato pieces and saute it few seconds and let it boil fewminutes.
- Add a cup of prepared sprouted moth beans along with the masala puree and mix it.
- Add a tablespoon of goda masala ,mix it and let it fry for few seconds.
- Add a tablespoon of salt or for a taste then mix all the ingredients well.
- Add a tablespoon of red chilly powder for more spicy into the ingredients according to your taste
- Add the required water for that you may use remaining water of masala puree and mix it.
- Close it and leave it for two to three whistles then open the lid slowly.
