STEP : 1
The key ingredients to prepare Matar chawla pulao,we need rice ,green peas,onions,,tomatoes,green chillies,ghee,mint leaves,ginger garlic paste,lemon,bay leaf,Star biryani,lavang,coriander leaves,cashewnuts,cinnamons,cardamoms,red chilly powder,garam masala powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder,cumin seeds ,oil and salt.

Take three cups of rice ,soak it for 10 to 15 minutes,you can use basmati rice.

Take a mixie jar,add few ginger pieces and few garlic cloves to make fine paste.
STEP : 4
Blend it for few minutes till it becomes soft and transfer it in a bowl.
STEP : 5
Add a cup of green peas and soak it under 6 to 7 hours or possible if overnight.I used soaked green peas and pressure cooked.

For tampering turn on the flame,place a pressure cooker ,add a tablespoon of ghee and let it melt.

Now again add two to three tablespoon of cooking oil along with the melted ghee.

Add 5 to 6 cashews in hot oil but it is optional ,you can skip it.

Add half cup of raisins ,it is totally optional .I added for the blended taste.

Add a single bay leaf or biryani leaf,cinnamon sticks, in hot oil and let it splatter.

Add the star biryani and lavang in hot oil and let it splatter for few seconds.

Add a cup of thin sliced onions and saute all these and let it cook for few minutes.

Add a tablespoon of ginger garlic paste and saute it finely till the raw smell goes.

Add a tablespoon of cumin seeds or shahjeera in hot oil and let it splatter.

Add a tablespoon of black pepper seeds or crunched black pepper in hot oil and let it splatter.

Add a cup of finely chopped tomatoes and saute the mixture very well untill the tomatoes are nicely boiled.

Add the boiled green peas or fresh green peas and mix it completely ,let it blend for few seconds.

Add 3 to 4 green chillies or red chillies finely chopped and saute them for few minutes .

Add a tablespoon of red chilli powder and saute it thoroughly and let it cook few seconds.

When the mixture turns gravy ,add half tablespoon of turmeric powder and mix it completely.

Add half tablespoon of garam masala or dhania powder and saute the mixture completely for few seconds.

Add a tablespoon of coriander powder and mix it ,you can add a fine pieces of capsicum if you prefer.

Add half cup finely chopped fresh coriander leaves or cilantro and mix it completely for few seconds.

Add half cup of curd or yogurt for sour and mix it completely for few seconds.

Add half tablespoon of cumin seeds powder and saute the mixture completely for few seconds.

Add a tablespoon of salt or as per taste and mix it ,you can add a little bit black pepper powder

Add a cup of fresh mint leaves and mix it ,let the mint blend with gravy.

After mixing it ,add the soaked and drained rice and mix it well with gravy.

Mix it completely for few seconds ,let the rice blend with the mixture or gravy.

According to measurement,add water into the mixture and mix it completely ,let it boil for few seconds.

When everything is complete,Close the pressure cooker lid and leave it for two whistles in medium flame.

After two whistles ,turn off the flame,when the pressure comes down ,slowly open the lid

Squeeze half portion of lemon juice or few drops of lemon juice in a gravy.Our tasty Matar chawla pulao is ready.
