Ingredients of Masala bhat

STEP : 1
The key ingredients to prepare Masala bhaat ,we need rice ,cauliflower,green peas,peanuts,garlic cloves,onions, carrot,tomatoes,red chilli powder,ghee,ginger ,lemon,bay leaf, biryani spices, lavang,cinnamon stick,coriander leaves,lemons,red chilly powder,black pepper powder,turmeric powder, coriander seeds,oil and salt.

STEP : 2
Add a cup of water and let the rice soak under 10 to 15 minutes.

Add a cup of water and let the dry green peas soak under 6 to 8 hours.

STEP : 4
Turn on the flame ,place a vessel ,boil 4 cups of water to clean cauliflower.

STEP : 5
Add fine pieces of cauliflower in a boiling water then leave it for 2 to 3 minutes.

Now wash all the remaining vegetables then cut it into small pieces and keep aside.

After 2 minutes ,turn off the flame ,then strain the water completely in a seperate bowl.

Add four tablespoon of half cup coriander seeds and let it fry in medium flame.

Add a single star anise and sticks along with the spices and let it fry medium flame.

Add a tablespoon of poppy seeds in a medium flame and let it fry few seconds.

Add a tablespoon of cumin seeds in very low flame and let it fry in medium flame

Turn off the flame,allow the spices to cool and then add the spices in a blender.

Blend the spices for few seconds ,our spicy masala bath powder is ready and keep aside.

Take a mixie or blender jar,add few garlic cloves to make a semi coarse paste.

Add half inch size of ginger pieces in a blender along with the garlic cloves.

Blend it for few minutes till it becomes soft and transfer it in a bowl.

Turn on the flame,place a Cooker add half cup of oil and let it heat.

Add a tablespoon of mustard seeds along with the spices and let it fry medium flame.

Add a single bay leaf or biryani leaf in hot oil and let it fry.

Add two cups of thin sliced onions and saute all these and let it cook for few minutes.

Add semi grounded ginger garlic paste and mix it completely,let the raw smell goes away.

Add a cup of fresh peanuts and saute the mixture very well for few seconds.

Add a cup of soaked green peas and saute the mixture very well for few seconds.

Add a cup of tomato pieces and saute the mixture very well untill the pieces are nicely boiled.

Add a cup of potato pieces and mix it completely,let the potatoes cook few seconds.

Add a cup of cleaned cauliflower pieces and mix it completely,let it cook few seconds.

Add a cup of carrot pieces and saute the mixture very well untill the pieces are nicely boiled.

Add a cup of fresh green peas and saute the mixture very well untill the peas are nicely boiled.

Add a tablespoon of salt or as per taste along with the curry and mix it .

Add a tablespoon of red chilli powder and saute it thoroughly and let it cook few seconds.

Add half tablespoon of turmeric powder for a taste along with the cooking mixture .

Add half tablespoon of garam masala or dhania powder and saute the mixture completely for few seconds.

Add a tablespoon of crunched black pepper or black pepper powder and mix it completely.

Add a cup finely chopped fresh coriander leaves or cilantro and mix it completely for few seconds.

Add the soaked rice along with the curry mixture and mix it completely with out gap.

According to the measurement ,add 4 to 5 cups of water in the mixture and mix it.

Add the blended masala bath spices along with the rice and vegetables and mix it.

Add a tablespoon of ghee on top of the mixture and mix is completely,let cook.

When everything is complete,Close the pressure cooker lid and leave it for 2 whistles in medium flame.

After 2 whistles ,turn off the flame,when the pressure comes down ,slowly open the lid .

Squeeze half portion of lemon juice or few drops of lemon juice on top.Our tasty Masala bhaat is ready to serve.
