- 2.00 cup Wheat Flour
- 0.50 cup Curds
- 4.00 no Ripe Bananas
- 2.00 tbsp Ghee
- 2.00 tbsp Sugar
- 0.50 tbsp Salt
- 0.25 tbsp Baking Soda
- 2.00 cup Oil
Instructions
Mangalore Buns
- Keep all your ingredients at hand to avoid confusion and for adjusting the right amount of dough that is needed for kneading.
- Sift the wheat flour and add sugar , salt, baking soda and ghee to it and mix well. nest add curds and mix well.
- Mash the banana thoroughly. now add the banana to the mixture and mould nicely until its a soft dough. You can add more ghee if you wish.
- Knead the dough thoroughly till its very soft and keep it for 8 hours or overnight till the dough rises. keep it covered for better fermentation.
- The fermented dough nearly doubles. make small balls and knead them by hand gently . you need not use any flatterer for this.
- Heat the oil in a pan and deep fry the flattened dough until its brown in color flip it to let it rise. serve with chutney or honey and relish the yummy buns.
