- 1.00 cup Bottle Gourd
- 1.00 cup Curd
- 1.00 tbsp Red Chilly Powder
- 0.25 tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 0.25 tbsp Fennel Seeds
- 2.00 nos Cloves
- 1.00 nos Cinnamon Sticks
- 2 nos Cardamon
- 1.00 nos Bay Leaf
- 0.75 tbsp Salt
- 1.00 cup Oil
Instructions
Lauki Yakhni Recipe
- Wash and chop the bottle gourd into big slices or round thin slices,and pat dry.
- Take a blender jar add a cup of curd into them and blend well till it gets soft.
- Heat a pan add a cup of refined oil or mustard oil,then add the chopped bottle gourd with them.
- Then deep fry the added bottle gourd till it comes to very light golden brown,You can also shallow fry on tawa for diet.
- Remove and transfer the fried bottle gourd into them and keep them aside for cool.
- Heat a pan add one tbsp of oil then add all the whole garam masala ingredients such as bay leaf,fennel seeds,cloves,cinnamon and cardamom with them.
- Then add the blended or well whisked curd with them and stir well without gap.
- Then add enough red chilly powder and little turmeric powder with them and stir well again in slow fire.
- Then add enough salt with them and and little water to get thin curry and keep on stirring .
- when the gravy comes to boil,then add the chopped and deep fried bottle gourd slices with them and mix them well.
- Cover the lid and brings to boil for few minutes till the added bottle gourd slices comes to soft.
- Finally garnish some coriander leaves with them and serve hot with Boiled rice or with roti or naan recipes.
