This Bengali kosho mango recipe is very favor dish during durga puja and Bengali New Year. Authentic meat curry is prepared in very less spices but the aroma of this dish is totally mouthwatering. People loved it with luchi or mishti pulao.

Ingredients of Kosha mangsho

0.25 kg goatmeat

Kosha mangsho

Wash the raw goat meat with warm water at least for 4 -5 times. Take 8 – 9 garlic cloves and chopped ginger and a cup of fresh curd. Marinate meat with curd, paste of ginger and garlic, 2 tablespoon of mustard oil and salt as require.

Heat mustard oil in a non-stick pan, add a pinch of sugar and sauté it in a low flame until the colour of sugar turn brown. After that add 2 bay leaves, 2 cardamom, 2 cloves and cinnamon stick.

Remove the lid and add 1 tablespoon of ghee and garam masala powder, mix it and turn off the flame. Transfer the prepared Kosha Mangsho to a serving plate and garnish with coriander leaves.
