Ingredients of Koonthal roast
STEP : 1
At first take the squid to clean in a plate or bowl ( never use scissors or knife to clean squid ) .
STEP : 2
Use your hands to remove the skin and ink and wash using water and keep it aside . It will be more good if we won't cut it using knife .

Take a blender or mixer and put peeled ginger ;garlic ;green chillies ; pudina leaves and coriander leaves to it .

Grind it well and make a smooth paste ;then add chopped tomato to it and again grind it ;no need of water .

Then heat a pan or kadai pour oil to it and when it is hot add chopped onion to it .

Let the onion becomes nicely translucent and when it is done add the grinded mix of tomato ;ginger and coriander leaves .

Mix it well and then close the kadai let it cooked well; keep the flame low ;when it is done pour the powders and salt .

Mix it well and keep the kadai close again to let it cooked ; when we get a nice roasted smell of the ingredients put cleaned squid to it .

Mix all the ingredients well with the squid and close the pan again ; no need to add water because squid itself have water in it .

After ten minutes of cooking I seen my squid is shrinked and oil is separated so off the flame and put some spring onion or coriander leaves on it .

Our pachai koonthal roast is ready to serve . Serve hot along with rice ; chappathi or anything you have and enjoy .
