gathikochu and shrimp simmered in a rich Indian gravy. A perfect dish for lunch when everybody is in the mood for a lavish meal before an afternoon siesta.The colour if the curry is a vibrant main course .This recipe is traditional bengali preparation flavoured with cumin seeds and shrimp.

Ingredients of Kochu chingri recipe

0.50 kg kochu
0.25 cup shrimp
1.00 tbsp cumin seeds paste
1.00 tbsp ginger paste
2.00 tbsp coriander leaves chopped
1.00 tbsp green chili paste
0.50 tbsp salt
0.25 tbsp turmeric powder
0.25 cup mustard oil

Kochu chingri recipe

Boil and pill the kochu and keep aside. Then clean and cut the shrimp and keep aside. chopped the coriander leaves.Then paste the ginger,green chili and cumin seeds.All those things bring together for next step of cooking.

Hot a pan then add some oil in it then add the shrimp and salt and fry properly in high flame. Then add the kochu,salt and turmeric powder.
