STEP : 1
Turn on the flame,put the large and heavy bottomed vessel on it and keep it in low flame pour the one litter milk into a vessel,increase the flame to high.You can also grease the ghee on the vessel and lets the milk boil.

Once milk starts boiling keep stirring and scrape the edges in between,let it boil the milk on low flame till it reduces to half of its original quantity.keep stirring in between,till the milk with full of fat and thickened.

Now take a separate bowl and the saffron strands into the bowl or else you can directly pour the saffron strands into the boiling milk.

Add a one tablespoon of honey in a saffron strands if you like you can also add a ghee for a nice flavour.

Add a tablespoon of boiling milk into a saffron strands and let it soak till 40 to 50 seconds,you can also add a tablespoon of ghee if you like.

After the milk as reduced to of its original quantity keep stirring and scrape the edges in between,at all intervals stirring the milk is very essential,you can also collect the cream on the top of a vessel and add it back to basundi mixture.

Now add the soaking saffron strands into a boiling milk and mix it well till the milk starts thickening and full fat cream,you can also add milk maid for a better taste.

After mixing well the milk as change golden yellow colour now add the cardamom powder crunched almonds and pistachios,optionally you can also add cashew nuts and raisins into basundi mix well.

Now add the sugar few tablespoon into thickening basundi and mix it well,now turn off the flame and let the milk basundi cool down thoroughly.
