Ingredients

- 1.00 nos Raw banana
- 2.00 nos potatoes
- 1.00 cup Chopped onion
- 1.00 cup Gram flour
- 0.25 tbsp Turmeric powder
- 2.00 nos Green chilies
- 0.50 cup Coriander leaves
- 1.00 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- 0.50 tbsp Salt
- 2.00 cup Oil
Masala Preparation
- 1.00 cup Oil
- 10.00 nos Garlic cloves
- 1.00 nos Ginger
- 1.00 cup Chopped onion
- 0.50 cup Peanuts
- 2.00 tbsp White sesame seeds
- 1.00 tbsp Poppy seeds
- 0.50 tbsp Cumin seeds
- 2.00 tbsp Red chili powder
- 4.00 nos Tomatoes
- 1.00 tbsp Garam masala
- 2.00 tbsp Coriander powder
Instructions
Urundai Preparation
- The key ingredients to prepare raw banana kofta,we need raw banana,tomatoes,potatoes,onion,green chilies,ginger,garlic cloves,red chili powder,garam masala powder,cumin seeds powder,cumin seeds,peanut,turmeric powder,coriander leaves,gram flour,black pepper powder ,oil and salt.
- Wash and peel the raw banana and potatoes to boil it ,let’s start to boil.
- Turn on the flame ,place a pressure cooker add the raw bananas and potatoes in it.
- Add three cups of water then close the lid and leave it for two to three whistles.
- Blend four medium size tomatoes for few seconds till it makes soft puree and transfer it in a bowl.
- Blend the ginger garlic for few seconds till it turns smooth with out any lumps and transfer it.
- In a separate pan ,dry roast the peanuts and peel the skin totally it is optional
- In the same pan ,add two tablespoon of white sesame seeds and saute in a low flame.
- Along with that add a tablespoon of poppy seeds or khas khas and saute in a low flame.
- Add half tablespoon of cumin seeds and saute it,let it splatter in a medium flame.
- Transfer the ingredients in a bowl,In a same pan add two to three tablespoon of oil.
- Add 8 to 10 garlic cloves in a hot oil and saute it for few seconds.
- Add half inch small ginger pieces along with the garlic cloves and saute it finely .
- Add a cup of onions along with the ingredients and saute it for few minutes.
- Wait for few seconds till the onions turns transparent color or light golden brown color.
- After two whistles,when the pressure calms down slowly slightly open the lid and drain the water and let it cool.
- In a blender add the finely roasted onions,peanuts,white sesame seeds,poppy seeds ,cumin seeds and mix it.
- Blend it for few seconds and add little bit water till it turns thin coarse paste .
- When the raw banana and potatoes cools completely ,transfer it in a separate vessel and mash it.
- You can also grate the raw banana and potatoes instead of mashing,add a cup of onions
- Add half cup of besan or gram flour along with the mashed mixture and onions.
- Add a pinch of turmeric powder along with the mashed mixture ,onions,gram flour in a vessel.
- Add two or three finely chopped pieces of green chilies along with the ingredients for taste.
- Add half cup of finely chopped fresh coriander leave or cilantro along with the mixing ingredients.
- Add a tablespoon of blended ginger garlic paste along with the ingredients in a vessel.
- Add a pinch of salt for taste ,add less amount of salt,we need to add in curry.
- Now mix all these ingredients finely and give it a good mix by using hands.
- Take some amount of mixture and make it round size balls ,do the remaining balls in a same way.
- For frying balls,place a pan or tawa ,add the required oil and let it heat.
- Drop the balls one by one when oil get nicely hot and fry it for few seconds.
- Flip the balls regularly till it turns golden brown color ,and take it out from the oil.
Masala Preparation
- For preparing curry add two tablespoon of oil,when it heats lightly add a tablespoon of red chili powder and mix it.
- When the raw red chili powder smell goes away add the blended tomato puree in it.
- Add a tablespoon of garam masala and also a pinch of hing and mix it,let it boil for few minutes.
- Now add two tablespoon of coriander powder or dhania and mix it,let it boil for few minutes.
- Add the blended mixture in the curry and mix it completely,let it boil for few minutes.
- Add the fried kofta in a boiling curry and leave it for two to three minutes and turn off the flame and transfer in a serving boil.Now our raw banana kofta is ready.
