- 2.00 nos Egg Plant
- 0.75 cup Gram Flour
- 0.5 tbsp Red Chilly Powder
- 0.25 tbsp Cumin Powder
- 0.25 tbsp Pepper Powder
- 0.25 tbsp Coriander Powder
- 0.25 tbsp Black Pepper Powder
- 0.25 tbsp Hing
- 0.5 tbsp Salt
- 0.75 cup Oil
Instructions
Kathirikai Bajji Recipe
- Take two medium sized eggplant remove the head and chop them as thin round shape (You may add these chopped eggplant slices in salt water to prevent from blackness).
- Take a mixing bowl add enough gram flour,and all spice powders such as chilly powder,pepper powder,and coriander powder powder,hing and enough salt.
- Add enough water and mix well without any lumps and till it comes as soft and smooth batter.
- Take one round shape slices of eggplant dip add it into the gram flour batter.
- Heat a frying pan add enough oil for deep frying,now dip the sliced eggplant to that batter using a spoon.
- Place the batter dipped eggplant carefully to that hot oil,do the same for making all the slices.
- Flip all sides of the added eggplant pakora,till it deep fries well and cooks well on all sides,then remove from them.
- Now the Baingan pakora is ready to serve by well garnish and serve hot or warm with tasty sauce or with chutney.
