Dry fruits karanji is a famous festival recipe ,specially made these sweet recipe at ganesh chaturthi ,Normally we heard and prepared only the steamed modak,but we can do these recipe by deep frying the modak in a very crispy manner .

Flour Dough Preparation

Initially take two cups of sifted all purpose flour or maida in a separate bowl.

Add two tablespoon of ghee or clarified butter in mixed flour to make soft dough.

After kneading a soft dough ,close the lid and leave it under 10 to 15 minutes.

Now add the dry coconut pieces in a blender or else you can grate it.

Blend it twice or thrice ,don't blend it too much and transfer it in a plate.

Turn on the flame ,place a pan or tawa ,add two tablespoon of ghee or butter.

When everything is complete ,turn off the flame and allow to cool the mixture ,transfer in a bowl.

Take a knead dough and divide into small balls or lemon size balls ,don't make the balls much bigger.

Roll it ,add a tablespoon of filling in center part and pinch the edges one by one

At our place it is called Gujiya also and this is the most authentic and traditional type of sweets we always cherish at the time of Holi and Diwali and it is made so authentically rich at home and the recipe given has done complete justice to the type of gujiya sweets as we prefer at our place and all the ingredients of the filling, they are so good for health and that it contains all type of dry fruits ,coconut jaggery and so many seeds they all are very nutritious and it is being prepared very nicely and it tastes really yummy I can really feel that taste by seeing the preparation only and very nice very nicely given over here thanks for sharing In such easy way!!
