this is a very healthy drink that everyone can take it for breakfast at least once in a week. this is one traditional drink that ancient people used to drink in the morning to be very energetic throughout the day.

Ingredients of Kambu koozh

1.00 cup pearlmilletsorkambu

0.50 liter water
2.00 tbsp salt
0.25 cup curd
1.00 no greenchilli
1.00 tbsp ginger
1.00 tbsp jeera
1.00 cup choppedonion

take a cup of kambu or pearl millets in a mixer jar and grind until it becomes as a nice powder.

then switch on the stove and keep in medium flame. then keep stirring it until you find the mixture is cooked. don't leave it without stirring then the flour will get burnt.

now add both the cooked pearl millet porridge and cooked rice paste to a little bigger steel vessel or a mud pot and mix them well. add a little water if needed to loosen them. let it ferment overnight (8-10 hours). from step 7, we will see the items to be done in the morning and added to this fermented mixture.

now add a cup of finely chopped onions and also a tablespoon of salt (as per taste) to this fremented drink and mix it, so that the onion pieces are separate. this will make it more interesting when you drink as you get crunchier onions in your mouth

now pour it to a glass and can drink it all by yourself. no need for any specific side dish as there are onions already added to it, but if you wish you can take something spicy like pickle or so. try and enjoy this healthy drink.
