Traditional And Popular Luscious Toffee Kamarkat Jaggery Balls
- 1.50 cup Coconut
- 1.50 cup Jaggery
- 0.25 cup Water
- 1.00 tbsp Cardamom powder
- 1.00 tbsp ghee
- First you need to take the ingredients Jaggery , water , coconut , Cardamom powder.
- Now you need to heat the pan and than put half cup of water into the pan.
- Now you need to put jaggery to this water just to immerse it like this.
- Now you need to dissolves the jaggery like this and you should not keep high flame.
- Now you need to keep the flame as low for preparing the Kamara Kattu. Don’t keep high flame.
- Now you need to add the cadamond powder into the Kamara Kattu. mix it well.
- Now you need to mix it well for 1 to 2 mins. jaggery should be like this.
- Now you need to take a small plate and put one drop of jaggery and check it.
- You should be able to gather the syrup with your fingers, roll a shiny ball that holds its shape.it should fall with a clear crisp sound. this is the correct stage.
- Now you need to take the mixture grinder and put coconuts into the mixture grinder.
- Now you need to blend the coconuts without adding any water to a fine powder.
- Now you need to take the grated coconut like this and than keep it aside.
- Now you need to add the grated coconut into the Kamara Kattu and than mix it well.
- Now you have to keep stiring for 3 to 4 mins.The colour will change really dark.
- At one stage, the mixture become thick and leaves the sides.It should be like this.
- Now you need to take one clean plate and ghee or oil in that plate..
- Now you need to apply the oil or ghee in that plate like this.you should not put more ghee.
- Now you need to transfer immediately this mixer in a plate.It should be like this.
- Now you need to Apply little ghee or oil on your palm for making balls.
- Now you need to take a spoon and than take kamara kattu in that spoon.Because it will be very hot.
- Now you need to Make round balls moistening the hands if the batter is too much sticky.
- Roll tightly to make lemon sized balls. Every time grease your hands for easy handling.
- Now you need to put this balls into the plate and store in air-tight container.
- Now the kamara kattu is ready to serve and enjoy the day.You can keep this kamara kattu for 2 week.
